First Step
First Step is designed to instill an early love of learning. The program introduces children to the school environment while developing a healthy separation from their caregivers. Our curriculum follows the seasonal calendar through educational projects incorporating art, music, and crafts. Through experiential learning, students will learn important social skills such as sharing, listening, and expressing their thoughts through words. Children will begin building the essentials, such as fine and gross motor skills, as well as letter, number and shape recognition. This program really is the first step to a caring, holistic learning experience.
Ages 2-2.5
PreK 2
PreK 2 builds upon the strong foundation established in our First Step program and is designed for slightly older children who are ready for the next stage of early learning. This class continues to nurture a love of learning while further developing independence and confidence in the school environment.
Our curriculum follows the seasonal calendar through engaging, hands-on projects that incorporate art, music, and crafts. Through experiential learning, children continue to strengthen important social skills such as sharing, listening, and expressing themselves clearly with words.
In PreK 2, students expand on foundational skills, including fine and gross motor development, while deepening their understanding of colors, shapes and the world around us. This program serves as a meaningful bridge between early introduction and more structured preschool learning, all within a caring and supportive environment.

Pre-K 3
Ages 3-4
Our Level I program provides children the opportunity to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Routines are established early on to foster their sense of security and self-discipline. Throughout the year, children explore colors, shapes, science and nature. Their literacy foundation skills are taught through an introduction to letters and numbers, as well as exposure to good literature. Fine motor skills are developed through the use of table top manipulatives, sensory tables, puzzles, and daily crafts using scissors and writing utensils. the students’ gross motor skills grow through song and dance as well as playground time and yoga/tumble. Students are engaged in daily playtime to foster important skills such as sharing, listening, communicating and cooperating. The goal of a Level I program is to enrich the children and prepare them with the proper skills needed to be successful in Level II.
PreK4
Our Level II Pre-K program provides a warm and structured environment designed to prepare your child for Kindergarten with confidence. We focus on the whole child through a creative curriculum that includes the gentle Handwriting Without Tears method for letter recognition and printing. Your child will begin reading and writing simple sentences through our phonics and whole language activities. In our math sessions, students explore counting, patterns, and measurements using fun tools like number lines and graphs. We believe in a multi-sensory approach where science comes to life through hands-on experiments with plants and animals, while art, music, and dance spark creativity. At Holy Cross, our Pre-K class is a true family where every child is encouraged to grow. From our themed learning days to special events like International Night and our Christmas play, we ensure every student looks forward to school each day.
Academic Enrichment
Our Academic Enrichment sessions offer children the chance to explore subjects that spark their natural curiosity and desire to learn. From hands-on STEM exploration and introductory foreign language lessons to creative arts and music appreciation, these programs give students the opportunity to grow beyond our core curriculum. We focus on nurturing each child's unique talents in a supportive environment, encouraging them to question, discover, and build a solid foundation for their future academic success.
